Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
